Our team assesses, educates, and supports patients scheduled for major surgery from across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. The service operates Monday to Friday, serving over 1000 patients annually. Coordinate and perform cardiopulmonary exercise testing for patients referred to the Perioperative Medicine Service. Support senior physiologists and contribute to the operational management of the CPET laboratory.
Applicants should hold a BSc in Physiological Sciences (such as Sport, Exercise, or Health Sciences, Clinical or Sport Physiology), with experience and knowledge of exercise physiology. Physical fitness is necessary due to the demands of the clinic, including prolonged standing and PPE use.
