This leading commercial law firm is recognised for thier expertise in housing, local government, and health and social care, and are specialists in the construction, energy and resource management, higher education and financial services sectors.

The Health and Care Regulatory team provides advice and support to health, social care, education and housing organisations across the public and independent sector.

The role:

A vacancy has arisen for a newly qualified Solicitor to join our team, offering the opportunity to be a part of a diverse and rich practice area that is intellectually stimulating and hugely rewarding. The role will involve advising clients on a range of health, social care and education issues, both contentious and non-contentious.

The team's services include management of complex litigation in the Court of Protection, human rights, inquests, mental health, safeguarding, patient safety, serious incident response, complaints and disputes, HSE/CQC inspection and enforcement, education, children law, challenges to decision-making in in health and social care.

Key responsibilities:

Manage your own varied caseload and support colleagues on a mix of both advisory and litigation matters;
Advocacy at inquests, Court of Protection hearings and Tribunals;
Active involvement in client care and business development.
What we are looking for from you

The ideal applicant will possess the following:

An interest in developing a career in health, social care law and/or education law;
An ability to work confidently and effectively with others, clients and colleagues alike

The team operate a hybrid working model based on the needs of our clients, teams and people. Our core business hours are 9am - 5:15pm Monday to Friday, but we're open to our people working more flexibly around those times and welcome a conversation with you if you have any questions about this. We try to offer you the flexibility to work your week in a way that suits you.
