Job summary

Bristol NHS Foundation Trust is looking for a Mechanical/Plumbing tradesperson based at Weston General Hospital on a fixed-term basis. You will join the Estates Maintenance team and benefit from a comprehensive training package within a large healthcare estate.

The role requires City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent, experience as a plumber in domestic/commercial settings, and a willingness to work on-call and learn in a busy Trust environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as a plumber in domestic or commercial settings
• City & Guild Mechanical/Plumbing Level 3 or equivalent
• Interest in working in a large healthcare environment

Responsibilities

• React promptly to day-to-day breakdowns of plumbing and mechanical equipment
• Carry out mechanical & plumbing repairs
• Undertake routine maintenance (PPM) and log work on the PDA/Agility system
• Carry out minor installation work
• Work in safe manner following good working practices
• Interpret drawings and specifications with minimal supervision
• Pass on knowledge to apprentices and students and participate in on-call rota
