Applications are invited for the position of Associate Teaching Professor (0.8 FTE) to serve as the Healthcare Innovation Programme Course Director and Manager of the Centre for Engineering Better Care. The role is based at the Department of Engineering's Central Cambridge site.

The Healthcare Innovation Programme comprises three successive part-time courses (PgCert/PgDip/MSt) designed to accommodate full-time employment. The programme aims to impart knowledge of the healthcare system and relevant technologies, equipping students with skills to innovate successfully in healthcare. Delivery includes face-to-face sessions in Cambridge, online sessions, and self-directed learning. The MSt program is supplemented by short courses to leverage course material and generate income to support Healthcare Innovation activities. The Course Director will oversee the programme management, module design and delivery, administration, financial planning, and provide strategic leadership.

The Centre for Engineering Better Care (CEBC) facilitates collaboration to translate clinical and healthcare needs into practical solutions through project work and proof-of-concept testing across various clinical fields. The CEBC is located on the biomedical campus. The Manager provides daily support and strategic development for the Centre's activities.

Candidates should have a PhD or equivalent experience in healthcare engineering topics, demonstrating broad technical knowledge. Proven experience in relationship management, teaching delivery, and/or curriculum design is essential. Expertise in teaching a specific subject with a critical understanding of relevant theories or principles is required. Excellent presentation and communication skills are necessary, along with the ability to represent the Healthcare Innovation programme externally. Healthcare engineering research experience is advantageous.
