Job summary

Carbon60, Inc. is seeking a qualified Shift Multiskilled Engineer to support a major facilities management provider on a large healthcare contract in Birmingham, West Midlands. The role focuses on electrical maintenance within an acute hospital environment, with duties across related facilities.

The role involves PPM, testing and inspection, reactive/breakdown maintenance and emergency response. Healthcare PFI experience and BS 7671/HTM compliance are essential, with CAFM data updates and safe

Qualifications

Recognised/indentured Electrical Apprenticeship or equivalent.
AM2 qualification, unless apprenticeship completed before AM2 introduced.
Recognised electrical qualification (City & Guilds 236/2360, 2330 L2 & L3, 2357/2560).
18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
2394/2395 Testing & Inspection or equivalent.
Healthcare / healthcare PFI experience is essential.
Strong experience in electrical maintenance, fault-finding, PPM and reactive works.
Good understanding of statutory compliance, Health & Safety and HTMs.
Ability to work independently and use CAFM/digital maintenance systems.

Responsibilities

Carry out planned, reactive, breakdown and emergency electrical maintenance.
Complete testing, inspection, repairs and new works within electrical trade scope.
Ensure response and rectification times and SLAs are achieved, escalating delays.
Work safely in compliance with BS 7671, HTMs, CDM, Health & Safety legislation.
Interpret drawings and instructions and work effectively without supervision.
Update CAFM systems and maintenance records accurately.
Support condition surveys and lifecycle planning with asset information.
Respond to emergencies to protect people, property and service provision.
Collaborate with NHS stakeholders as required.
Maintain workshops and work areas in a clean, safe condition.
Undertake AP/CP duties where authorised.
Work in sensitive clinical areas following Trust procedures.
