Job summary

Ramboll is recruiting a Principal Electrical Engineer for its UK Healthcare team to provide senior technical leadership on technically demanding hospital projects across the UK and internationally. You’ll define low‑carbon electrical strategies, drive digital delivery, and lead client engagements with multi‑disciplinary teams.

You will join a growing national Healthcare group delivering high‑profile projects, with chartership support and opportunities to advance technically or into leadership

Qualifications

• Track record delivering electrical building services on UK projects, ideally healthcare or high‑resilience schemes.
• Strong technical or project leadership with mentoring experience.
• Proactive engineer with ability to work across multiple workstreams.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior technical leadership for electrical building services from concept through to handover.
• Mentor the electrical team and coordinate with multidisciplinary colleagues.
• Develop and oversee electrical design concepts, calculations, specifications and drawings to meet UK healthcare standards.
• Lead digital delivery and MEP coordination using Revit (BIM 360) and industry tools.
• Act as a client‑facing technical lead: present solutions and maintain client relationships.
• Manage project scope, resources and delivery, mitigating risks.
• Embed sustainability, resilience and quality assurance across projects.
• Contribute to proposals and external thought leadership.
