Healthcare Data Scientist & Clinical Liaison

Position Overview

Lead the development and refinement of our AI algorithms while serving as the primary bridge between our technical team and healthcare practitioners.

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop, train, and validate machine learning models using healthcare datasets
2. Collaborate with NHS clinicians to understand triage workflows and translate clinical requirements into technical specifications
3. Design and implement data annotation protocols for training datasets
4. Conduct statistical analyses to measure model performance against clinical benchmarks
5. Present technical concepts to clinical stakeholders in accessible language

Requirements

1. PhD or MSc in Data Science, Computer Science, Biostatistics, or related field
2. 3+ years' experience applying machine learning to healthcare data
3. Demonstrable experience with healthcare datasets and clinical taxonomies
4. Knowledge of UK healthcare systems and NHS data structures preferred
5. Experience with Python, R, and healthcare-specific ML libraries
6. Excellent communication skills with ability to bridge technical and clinical domains
