Healthcare Cleaning Supervisor (Nights)

Contract: Healthcare

Location: Stanmore, HA7 4LP

Hours of work: 37.5

Contract Type: Permanent


We’re looking for a dedicated Healthcare Cleaning Supervisor to lead our cleaning team in delivering a safe, hygienic, and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors.



This is a night shift role, working Monday - Friday | 09:45pm - 04:45am.

You’ll help maintain the highest standards of cleanliness in both clinical and non-clinical areas, ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety, and infection control procedures.

Job Description

You’ll provide day-to-day direction and hands-on support to your team, helping them stay responsive, productive, and focused on delivering quality results. This role plays a key part in supporting patient care by maintaining a clean and safe hospital environment.

This is a fast-paced role that may involve working in sensitive or occasionally unpleasant conditions, but it’s also an opportunity to make a visible difference every single day.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and motivate cleaning staff, ensuring performance, welfare, and training needs are met
Ensure compliance with cleaning schedules, hygiene standards, and service level agreements
Maintain accurate records, including sickness, training, and performance reviews
Oversee the ordering, distribution, and safe storage of equipment, uniforms, and cleaning materials
Manage waste removal and ensure compliance with safety and Trust policies
Conduct team meetings and performance discussions, including return-to-work and incident reviews
Uphold confidentiality, professionalism, and compliance with data protection regulations at all times

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

FM background with team supervision experience
Hospital experience preferred
Flexible and adaptable with a willingness to learn
Strong people management skills
Good understanding of compliance and procedures
Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Positive and proactive attitude
