Bath Clinic, part of Circle Health Group, seeks a Healthcare Assistant for ward-based bank shifts in Bath. The role involves assisting with personal care, nutrition, and observations, with duties to support nurses and doctors in a busy surgical wards environment.

The position is an as-and-when-required bank role; applicants should have care experience and be able to work flexibly to cover shifts and annual leave or absence. NVQ level 2/3 in Health and Social Care desirable.

• Previous experience in a care or health support role (hospital, care home, community, or domiciliary).
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with a caring, compassionate attitude.
• Ability to follow instructions and escalate concerns appropriately.
• Basic literacy, numeracy, and IT skills.

Mansioni

• Assist patients with personal hygiene, washing, dressing, toileting, oral care, and mobility needs, respecting their preferences and dignity.
• Help patients with eating, drinking, and nutritional support, including documenting intake where appropriate.
• Provide comfort and emotional support to patients and relatives, creating a caring and safe environment.
• Carry out and accurately record routine observations such as blood pressure, pulse, respiratory rate, temperature, oxygen saturation, and blood glucose levels (after appropriate training).
• Support basic clinical procedures, including wound care setup, assisting with catheter care, pressure area prevention, and mobility aids.
• Prepare and maintain clinical areas, including trolleys, beds, and equipment in readiness for patient use.
• Work collaboratively with nurses, doctors, therapists, and admin teams to support safe and efficient patient care

Salary: £12.71 per hour

We have an opportunity for a Healthcare Assistant to join their team of staff in the Surgical Wards.

This is a bank role working on an “as and when required” basis, you will be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence.

Duties of this role include:

• Assist patients with personal hygiene, washing, dressing, toileting, oral care, and mobility needs, respecting their preferences and dignity.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

• Previous experience in a care or health support role (hospital, care home, community, or domiciliary).
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with a caring, compassionate attitude.
• Ability to follow instructions and escalat[?] concerns appropriately.
• Basic literacy, numeracy, and IT skills.
• Physically able to undertake duties including moving and handling tasks.
• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent qualification) desirable.
• Knowledge of safeguarding, infection control, and confidentiality procedures.
