Job summary
An opportunity has arisen within palliative care, haematology & general medicine for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Band 2 HCA to join our team and develop their HCA skills.
You will be supported by all members of the team, including HCAs, RGN's, Deputy Ward Manager, and Ward Manager.
Note: Band 2 roles will not be eligible for sponsorship as they do not meet the required skill level (RQF 3 or A level and above), despite having a salary increase.
Main duties of the job
The main duties of a Band 2 HCA involve assisting the nursing staff within our care group. Responsibilities include caring for patients' activities of daily living, nutrition, hydration, continence needs, promoting activity, and monitoring pressure area care. Documentation on fluid balances and pressure area care is also required.
