Day services health care assistant role to work with clients who have severe learning disabilities and complex physical health needs. The staff within the service are employed by Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust. We are looking to recruit a caring, enthusiastic and compassionate individual to join the service as a Healthcare Assistant/Trainee
The successful applicant will have recent experience within a care role and will understand the needs of individuals with Learning Disabilities. You will have excellent communication skills and be calm, confident and resilient in your approach. You will be able to form therapeutic relationships with individuals with complex learning disabilities and ensure that you work as an advocate at all times, ensuring individual's voices are heard.
You must have the Right to Work in the UK in order to be successfully appointed to this role. Please note, this role does not meet the required eligibility criteria for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker visa and therefore the Trust is unable to offer sponsorship for this particular role.
You will join a team of highly skilled and committed individuals ensuring that person centred and holistic care is provided at all times.
We provide a person centred activity plan which incorporates activities within the local community such as walks, swimming, theatre/ cinema visits, restaurants and theme parks
We are looking to recruit an individual who is able to drive and who is willing to undertake further training to enable them to drive the unit minibus, thus supporting the individuals on social outings and appointments.
