Job description

Opportunities have arisen within the Respiratory ward 6C for a Band 2 Health Care Assistant. We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic healthcare assistant who can demonstrate the trust values to join our team. Previous experience working in a healthcare environment is essential, respiratory experience is desirable. Excellent communication and IT skills are required, and the successful candidate should demonstrate a commitment to delivering excellent patient care.

Duties for this role include supporting registered nursing teams in providing patient care, such as assisting patients with personal hygiene needs, meeting nutritional needs, and maximizing mobility. Responsibilities also include pressure area care delivery and falls risk prevention.

This person needs to be driven and motivated, able to fit into the team well, and strive to provide the highest standards of care for our complex respiratory patients.

Note that Band 2 roles will not be eligible for sponsorship as they do not meet the required skill level (RQF 3 or A level and above), despite salary increases from £22,383 to £23,615.
