Step into a role where every day makes a difference.
We're on the lookout for a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join a dynamic team at a warm, inclusive school in Shrewsbury. This is no ordinary setting — here, you'll be supporting incredible students with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD) in a space built to help them thrive, grow, and shine.

Your role at the heart of it all:
You’ll become an essential part of a multi-disciplinary team, working side-by-side with educators and healthcare professionals. From personal care and mobility support to medication administration and emotional encouragement, your impact will be real and rewarding.

Key responsibilities include:
• Supporting students with personal hygiene, toileting, changing, and feeding
• Assisting with mobility using hoists and other specialist equipment
• Administering medication and supporting tube feeding as needed
• Working alongside teachers and therapists to achieve developmental milestones
• Building trust and rapport with students to create a safe, joyful learning environment
• Maintaining the highest standards of safeguarding and safety

Who we’re looking for:
If you’re patient, caring, and genuinely motivated to help young people with complex needs, we want to hear from you. Experience in PMLD or healthcare settings is a plus, but if you’ve got the passion and the drive, we’re ready to support your journey.

You’ll need:
• A calm, compassionate, and resilient attitude
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Basic understanding of health and safety in care settings
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment

Bonus if you bring:
• Experience in SEND, healthcare, or care roles
• Knowledge of PMLD or complex medical needs
• Relevant qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3 in Health & Social Care or Teaching Support)

What you’ll gain from us:
• A dedicated consultant to guide you through your placement
• Opportunities for continuous professional development
• The chance to truly transform lives
• £50 Refer-a-Friend bonus for Teachers and TAs
• Access to exclusive Educator Networking Events
