Essential Requirements:
  • Must have a National Vocational Qualification (NVQ/SVQ) Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or an equivalent Healthcare related NVQ).
  • Minimum of 2 years recent experience within the last 3 years working in general practice or other healthcare environment as a HCA.
  • Valid certificates for Basic Life Support (BLS), Automated External Defibrillator (AED), Infection Prevention and Control (IPC), and Safeguarding Children and Vulnerable Adults Level 2 training.
  • Proof of training or clinical competency in:
    • Recording ECGs
    • Performing Venepuncture
    • Performing urinalysis
    • Preparation of specimens
    • Undertaking simple dressing procedures
    • Using aseptic technique
About the Role:
  • Flexible, adaptable, proactive approach
  • Part of a multidisciplinary team in well-equipped medical, dental, or rehabilitation centres, valued as part of the Defence Medical Services team
  • Deliver professional and personal care at all times
  • Work alongside military personnel on Army, Royal Navy, and Royal Air Force bases to provide high standards of care for service personnel and their families (location dependent)
