Job summary

Nuffield Health Plymouth Hospital is looking for a Healthcare Assistant/Porter to join our Nursing team. This permanent, full-time role offers 37.5 hours per week with weekend work and on-call requirements, and a salary up to £28,100 dependent on experience.

You’ll support clinical colleagues, follow instructions, maintain high standards of patient care, and use state-of-the-art technology, equipment and facilities.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care is required.
• Experience in an acute hospital or care setting is preferred.
• Good communication and computer/database skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Support consultants and professionals to deliver high-quality care.
• Contribute to a varied caseload using hospital equipment and facilities.
• Provide patient-focused care and ensure continuity of care on the ward.

As a Healthcare Assistant at our hospital, you’ll show us you’re able to meet deadlines and follow instructions. You have a good telephone manner, and great computer and database skills. You will be qualified with an NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care, and hold relevant experience in an acute hospital or care setting.
