Job Location: Edinburgh, UK.
Job Schedule: Monday- Friday, (Weekday; Dayshift).
Job Type: Full Time.

Full Description:
VitalCheck Wellness is looking for a Healthcare Assistant/ Phlebotomist to work full time in a new outpatient corporate wellness clinic located in Edinburgh, UK. This is a great opportunity for someone interested in working with a new model wellness clinic where you will have the ability to be part of the process.

Responsibilities:

  • Front and back-office duties.
  • Receptionist and administrative duties.
  • Referral management including calling insurance companies to confirm coverage.
  • Collect copay.
  • Support physician, nurse, physical therapist, etc.
  • Prepare and break down examination rooms.
  • Collect vital signs.
  • Perform/ collect specimens accurately (phlebotomy, urine, etc).

Requirements:

Candidates without a medical background will not be considered.

  • Must have GCSEs (or equivalent).
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 is a plus.
  • Active BLS/ ALS or CPR certification.
  • Phlebotomy experience is required!
  • Understanding of medical terminology required.
  • Experience as a medical receptionist or healthcare assistant with call and scheduling experience.
  • Preventive medicine oriented.
  • Ability to adapt to change.
  • Must have the ability to troubleshoot issues with minimal guidance where appropriate.
  • Must be highly proficient with computers, customer service-oriented, and able to work independently.
  • Must be able to reliably commute to Edinburgh, UK.

Must be able to pass a background check and credit report review.
