Ipswich Hospital | Nursing | Bank | Ad Hoc | Includes weekend work
Up to £14.50 per hour, depending on experience

Nuffield Health is the UK’s largest Healthcare Charity. From our innovative healthcare and leisure facilities to our community access programmes, we’re committed to building a healthier nation. Inside our award-winning hospitals, this starts with a commitment to quality and the highest standards of patient care. It starts with you.

As a Healthcare Assistant in our Outpatients/Pre-assessment department at our hospital, you’ll bring relevant experience, a keen eye for detail, and a flexible approach. You demonstrate patience, focus, and excellent communication skills. A real team player, you have diligence, IT literacy, and a passion for development and training to make a difference. You will be qualified with an NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care, with relevant experience in an acute hospital or care setting.

The Role

As a Healthcare Assistant in our Outpatients/Pre-assessment department, you will:

  • Put patient care first, enjoying time to really get to know the people who are our patients. By understanding them as individuals, you can better meet their needs.

  • Use your organizational skills to the full, taking responsibility for administrative duties.

What are we looking for in a HCA:

  • A good telephone manner.

  • Computer and database skills.

  • The ability to meet deadlines and follow instructions.

  • Qualified to NVQ Level 2 or 3, with relevant experience in an acute hospital or care setting.

  • Phlebotomy skills.

Helping you feel good.

We want you to love coming to work, feeling healthy, happy, and valued. That’s why we’ve developed a benefits package with you in mind, including holiday entitlement in line with the Working Time Directive, access to our Pension Scheme, and discounted gym membership at £25.00 a month.

Working on the bank means you are not contracted to a set number of hours per week but instead work on an ad-hoc basis to suit the needs of the business and your availability.
