We have multiple vacancies available, working everySaturday and Sunday, with an expected contract length of 68 months.

Main duties of the job

Key Responsibilities:

As a Healthcare Assistant in the outpatient department, your duties will include:

  • Supporting patients attending weekend clinics, including assisting with mobility, comfort, and clinic flow
  • Recording vital signs (e.g. blood pressure, pulse, temperature) and escalating concerns to clinical staff
  • Assisting with basic clinical procedures (e.g. ECGs, phlebotomy, or wound care, where trained)
  • Preparing and maintaining clean, fully stocked clinic rooms and equipment
  • Acting as a chaperone during consultations and procedures
  • Supporting clinicians and administrative staff to ensure efficient, safe delivery of care
  • Maintaining accurate patient records and assisting with data entry, as required

Person Specification
Qualifications
  • This role is ideal for individuals with a caring, patient-centred approach and the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Previous experience as a Healthcare Assistant within an outpatient or private clinic setting is essential
  • Basic clinical training (e.g. Care Certificate or NVQ Level 2/3 in Health & Social Care) is preferred
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Willingness to learn and undertake training on NHS systems and procedures
  • The ability to speak Welsh is desirable but not essential.
