A regional healthcare provider seeks a part-time Outpatient Healthcare Assistant in the ENT outpatient department. The role involves assisting qualified nursing staff in delivering compassionate patient care, along with routine clinical tasks. The successful candidate will work as part of the general outpatient team in the ENT outpatient department. To assist the qualified nursing staff, under their supervision, in providing a high quality, comprehensive and compassionate nursing service to all patients and users, ensuring a high standard of patient care is maintained in a clean and safe environment which promotes dignity, privacy and respect. Under appropriate supervision (direct or indirect), the post-holder will assist in the delivery of care planned and assessed by the Registered Nurse, including providing clinical care and performing a range of diagnostic tests and other extended skills.

We provide hospital services from two acute sites - Darlington Memorial Hospital and University Hospital of North Durham. We have a centre for planned care in Bishop Auckland and provide care from community hospitals in Chester-le-Street, Shotley Bridge, Barnard Castle, Sedgefield and Weardale as well as over 80 other community based settings and providing care in patients\' homes.

From April 9th 2025 - Healthcare assistants - You must have a minimum of two years of experience working within the NHS as a HCA for the Trust to consider sponsorship (we will only consider sponsorship if you meet this criteria and have a current visa expiring within 3 months).
Dimensions of the job:
