Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 3 Healthcare Assistant to join the Nutrition Nurse team at the Royal Liverpool Hospital.

This post is open to employees of the five LAASP organisations. As part of your application, you will be asked to confirm that you are a current employee of one of the following: The Clatterbridge Centre, Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital, Liverpool University Hospitals, Liverpool Women’s Hospital, or The Walton Centre.

The post holder is expected to assist the team in providing the highest possible standard of care for patients and their families/carers.

You must demonstrate experience in a hospital setting working at NVQ Level 2 and be signed off on the Care Certificate.

Successful applicants will receive further training and support for professional growth and career progression.

The role involves participating in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care. You will assist with all aspects of patient care, including helping the nutrition nurses to place vascular access devices and enteral feeding tubes, as well as ordering stock. You will be trained to undertake vascular access device surveillance and dressing changes.

You will work collaboratively with others to meet patients' needs and undertake a range of skilled tasks with support from the Nutrition nurses.
