Healthcare Assistant (Nights) – Wards

Healthcare Assistant | HCA | Wards | Nights | 37.5 hours per week | Permanent | Southend |

Spire Wellesley Hospital is seeking a Healthcare Assistant to join our ward team for night shifts. You will support Registered Nurses on the wards, working night shifts.

Our hospital features 3 Theatres (including 2 laminar flow theatres), an endoscopy unit, and a 33-bed Surgical Ward with specialties such as Orthopaedics, Bariatrics, General Surgery, Vascular, Plastics, Gynae, Ophthalmology, Spinal, Urology, and ENT.

Duties and responsibilities

You will provide caring support to patients, assisting with basic nursing tasks such as observations, ECGs, Phlebotomy, and manual handling, under the supervision of qualified nurses.

Who we're looking for

• Previous hospital experience is required.
• Phlebotomy trained.
• NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care is preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills and a caring demeanor.
