The successful candidate must be able to work within a dynamic team and strive to maintain the high standards of care offered to our patients. An on-call commitment is required to cover out-of-hours working.

Opportunities for career progression are available. Initially, you will start in a Band 2 position; upon completion of your competencies and the healthcare certificate, you will be eligible for a Band 3 position.

If you can work in a fast-paced environment delivering high-quality care, we would like to hear from you.

As a member of the Care Team, you will assist qualified staff in delivering a caring, effective, patient-focused service in line with the Trust's aims, objectives, and standards. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Assisting with maintaining a safe care environment, including preparing and clearing rooms/theatres and equipment, with reference to infection control and safety standards.
  2. Providing sensitive and appropriate clinical care under guidance from qualified staff, respecting personal dignity and beliefs.
  3. Handling and exchanging information with care, accuracy, and sensitivity, maintaining patient confidentiality.
  4. Ensuring effective communication within the care team and with patients, relatives, and visitors.

With a workforce of approximately 15,000 staff, we are committed to delivering health services to our local communities and beyond.

Our ambition is to provide excellent local and specialist services, improve patient health and well-being, and foster a vibrant environment for staff development, innovation, and career growth.

Patients will benefit from improved care, fewer delays, and cancellations. We offer region-wide access to specialist care and new opportunities for development, research, networking, and innovation.

We aim to utilize our skills and experiences to become the best we can be. As one organization, we will recruit and retain top talent across our Trust, offering more employment opportunities.
