We have an exciting opportunity for a Healthcare Assistant to join our Primary Care team at HMP Thameside, a category B prison located in London.

HMP Thameside is a male remand prison based in London with a capacity for up to 1200 inmates. We are recruiting for a Healthcare Assistant to support the wider Mental Healthcare team.

Hours

Thameside run 24 hour healthcare.

Shift patterns are either 0700 - 1930 or 1900 - 0730 Monday to Sunday.

4 week rota basis: 1 week 4 shifts and 3 weeks 3 shifts

Salary

This position is full time, you’ll receive an annual salary up to £32,134 per annum - depending on experience.

What you\'ll be doing

As a Healthcare Assistant, your responsibilities will vary. You will

  • Support the registered nurse in implementing an agreed plan of care in association with the patient and in accordance with instructions and training received whilst promoting safe patient care
  • Be willing to develop and apply new skills to maintain and enhance clinical service delivery.
