We have various positions for Band 3 Health Care Assistants within our Ophthalmic Team, which includes Ophthalmic Outpatients, A&E, and Pre-op Assessment Service.

You will be expected to carry out:

• Visual Acuity assessment
• Intra-ocular Pressure measurement
• Instillation of a variety of eyedrops, understanding their pharmaceutical purpose
• Visual Field Assessment

Competency-based training will be provided.

You will contribute to maintaining effective patient flow by performing these assessments efficiently and safely for a high volume of patients.

You will also develop an understanding of the specialist care required for ophthalmic patients.
