Locum Ready is seeking an experienced Healthcare Assistant for flexible treatment room sessions across primary care services in Grangemouth. You will assist with routine clinical tasks and support nursing and clinical teams within GP clinics.

Ideal candidates have HCA experience in primary care or NHS settings, strong communication skills, and DBS clearance. The role offers fully flexible weekday, evening, and weekend sessions with ad-hoc or regular work.

Qualifications

• Experience as HCA in primary care or NHS settings.
• Confident performing routine clinical observations.
• Phlebotomy experience desirable.

• Able to adapt quickly to different clinic environments.
• Enhanced DBS clearance.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine clinical observations including BP, pulse and temperature.
• Support treatment room procedures such as wound care and dressings.
• Perform ECGs and basic health checks.
• Assist with phlebotomy if trained.
• Update digital patient records per service protocols.
• Support clinicians with general duties.
• Maintain a clean and safe clinical environment.

This role is ideal for HCAs confident in performing routine clinical tasks within structured GP clinic environments, providing hands-on support to nursing and clinical teams.

You will assist with day-to-day treatment room duties, essential observations and routine procedures, ensuring smooth patient flow and consistent clinical support across the service.

Key Responsibilities

• Carrying out routine clinical observations including BP, pulse and temperature
• Supporting treatment room procedures such as wound care and dressings
• Performing ECGs and basic health checks
• Assisting with phlebotomy if trained
• Updating digital patient records in line with service protocols
• Supporting clinicians with general duties where needed
• Maintaining a clean and safe clinical environment
