Locum Ready seeks an experienced Healthcare Assistant for flexible treatment room sessions across primary care services in Callington. You will assist with routine clinical duties, supporting nursing and clinical teams in GP clinic environments.

Key responsibilities include carrying out clinical observations, wound care support, ECGs, phlebotomy if trained, and updating patient records. DBS clearance is required and ad hoc or regular sessions may be available.

Qualifications

• Previous HCA experience in primary care or NHS settings.
• Confident performing routine clinical observations.
• Phlebotomy experience desirable.
• Strong communication and patient interaction skills.
• Enhanced DBS clearance.

Responsabilités

Locum Ready is seeking an experienced Healthcare Assistant for flexible treatment room sessions across primary care services in Callington. This role is ideal for HCAs confident in performing routine clinical tasks within structured GP clinic environments, providing hands-on support to nursing and clinical teams.

You will assist with day-to-day treatment room duties, essential observations and routine procedures, ensuring smooth patient flow and consistent clinical support across the service.

Key Responsibilities

• Carrying out routine clinical observations including BP, pulse and temperature
• Supporting treatment room procedures such as wound care and dressings
• Performing ECGs and basic health checks
• Assisting with phlebotomy if trained
• Updating digital patient records in line with service protocols
• Supporting clinicians with general duties where needed
• Maintaining a clean and safe clinical environment

Requirements
