Locum Ready is seeking Locum Healthcare Assistants to support Corbridge community clinics, GP surgeries and wider primary care services. This role offers fully flexible sessions so you can choose shifts that fit your experience and weekly availability. You will assist with patient assessments, routine procedures, and maintain a smooth clinic workflow across various primary care settings. Across weekdays, evenings, and weekends, ad-hoc or regular bookings are available.

Formación

• Experience as an HCA in primary care, community, or NHS settings.
• Phlebotomy skills beneficial.
• Confident with standard clinical tasks.
• Strong communication and time-management abilities.
• Enhanced DBS clearance.
• Adaptable to new clinical environments.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct basic patient observations including BP, pulse and temperature.
• Support routine treatment room procedures.
• Carry out ECGs and basic health checks.
• Perform phlebotomy if trained.
• Assist with patient education and lifestyle advice.
• Update clinical notes accurately in service systems.
• Provide general clinical support to nurses and GPs.

You will play an important role in supporting patient assessments, carrying out routine clinical procedures and helping maintain an efficient clinic environment. Each service provides structured guidance to ensure clear expectations and smooth day-to-day workflow for all clinical staff.
