The Junction Surgery in Huddersfield is seeking a proactive Healthcare Assistant to support a busy GP practice team. You will contribute to routine patient care and support management of long-term conditions in a teaching-friendly environment.

Responsibilities

• Phlebotomy and blood pressure monitoring.

• Health promotion, lifestyle advice and preventative care.

Junction Surgery is a well-established General Medical Services (GMS) practice, providing comprehensive NHS primary care services to approximately 6,700 patients.

Alongside training GP registrars, we actively support the education and development of undergraduate medical students and nursing students, providing a stimulating and collaborative learning environment.

Main duties of the job

We are seeking a dedicated Healthcare Assistant to support our clinical team in providing a wide range of essential primary care services.

Job responsibilities

• Comfortable working within a teaching and training environment

Desirable

• Experience with EMIS Web, NHS Health Checks, wound care and chronic disease management would be advantageous.
