Job Summary

Grey Gable Surgery is recruiting a Part Time Healthcare Assistant, 15-20 hours per week. The successful candidate will be organised and self-motivated.

Salary will be dependent on experience.

Main duties of the job

The ideal candidate would be able to provide a safe and caring service to our patients and includes the following care services: phlebotomy, Health Checks, ECGs, simple dressings, suture removals, Vitamin B12 injections and diabetic foot checks. Training will be provided if required. The ability to deal with patients in a professional, friendly and caring manner is essential.

We are a small rural practice which prides itself on its friendly and caring ethos. The successful candidate will work as part of the nursing team and will have suitable Health and Social Care qualifications and previous experience.

Job Description

Job responsibilities: The post holder works under indirect supervision of the practice nurses and undertakes tasks and duties delegated by the nurses or a suitably qualified regulated professional. They will work collaboratively with the general practice team to meet the needs of patients, following policy and procedures.

Responsible to: Practice nurses, practice manager and GPs.
