Job description

We are looking for an experienced HCA to join our friendly teams working across our four practices located in HMR (Heywood, Middleton, and Rochdale). We seek candidates with experience in a general practice setting.

The ideal candidate must demonstrate excellent teamwork skills. The Healthcare Assistant will assist the Practice clinical team in providing and delivering patient care.

The successful candidate will perform general practice HCA duties, including taking and recording procedures such as BP, smoking status, blood tests, flu vaccinations, B12 injections, health checks, and supporting chronic condition monitoring.

Main duties of the job
  • Conducting new patient health checks
  • Measuring blood pressure, height, and weight
  • Performing ECGs
  • Administering flu, B12, and pneumococcal vaccinations
  • Monitoring and recording vaccine/cold chain storage
  • Assisting in patient health and well-being assessments
  • Undertaking delegated clinical activities for specific patients
  • Collecting and collating data related to health and well-being to support Practice QOF achievement
