Job summary

Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is hiring Healthcare Assistants for Harold White Ward at St Austell Hospital. This full-time role covers 37.5 hours per week on a rota of night shifts 19:30-08:00 and long day shifts 07:30-20:00 to support 24-hour nursing care, seven days a week including weekends and bank holidays.

You will assist in the delivery of clinical care as planned by Registered Nurses and carry out duties under indirect supervision.

• Assist in the delivery of clinical care, planned and assessed by the Registered Nurses
• Carry out care/other duties under indirect supervision of a Registered Nurse and/or Senior Health Care Assistant
• Support care on a day-to-day basis for all patients in the clinical area in a manner sensitive to the individual clients' needs and wishes, acknowledging their rights and beliefs at all times
• Contribute to resource management within the clinical area

Job description

Full time of 37.h hrs being a permanent contract undertaking a range of night duties 19:30- 08:00 hrs and long days 07:30 - 20:00 hrs on a rotational basis in order to support 24 hour nursing care, 7 days per week. This will include weekends and bank holidays.,

These provide hospital care for elderly patients and people who need rehabilitation after surgery or an illness.
