Healthcare Assistant - ENT Outpatients Department

We have an exciting full-time opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic Healthcare Assistant to join the ENT Outpatients Department at The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital.

Job Overview

We are looking to recruit a friendly Healthcare Assistant with excellent communication skills who enjoys working in a busy team. The post holder will provide essential clinical and administrative support to the clinical team within our Outpatients Department, helping to deliver high-quality care to patients. Responsibilities include managing a group of patients through consultations and diagnostics, and providing relevant information as needed.

The post holder must be able to effectively manage their own workload under the supervision of a registered nurse and be willing to work across sites as required.

Main duties of the job:

• Ensure the smooth running of identified clinical activities.
• Ensure equipment availability and decontamination of scopes.
• Support patients during their outpatient appointments.
• Maintain cleanliness and uphold IPC standards in the department.
• Escort patients to and from other wards and departments under the instruction of registered nurses.
