Job description

Marie Curie is the UK’s leading end-of-life charity. We are the largest non-NHS provider of end-of-life care in the UK, delivering community nursing and hospice care across the country, while providing information and support on all aspects of dying, death, and bereavement. Our research advances understanding of good end-of-life care, and our campaigns advocate for a world where everyone receives the best quality of life possible while living with an illness that they are likely to die from.

Our care and support are highly valued, but currently we reach only about 10% of those at the end of life who need it. Right now, one in four people in the UK with a terminal illness do not receive the care or support they deserve.

We aim to change this society-wide issue over the next five years by:

  1. Growing and transforming our direct care and support
  2. Delivering more practical information and support
  3. Leading in shaping the end-of-life experience

Are you passionate about providing compassionate, person-centered end-of-life care? Marie Curie is seeking a dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our community team in Dumfries and Galloway.

You will be a key part of our multidisciplinary team, offering holistic support to patients and their loved ones. This role is community-based, supporting clients and families in their homes to ensure dignity, comfort, and continuity of care during this significant life journey.

If you are committed to excellence in palliative care and want to work in a supportive, values-driven organization, we would love to hear from you.
