Job description

We are recruiting for Healthcare Assistant (HCA) vacancies within our Devon Hospice Care @ Home service. These roles are part of our night-time service, requiring comfort with lone working.

Hours: 22:00 – 07:00 night shift

Contract: Full-time or Part-time Permanent

Salary: Band 2 £24,169 per annum, in line with NHS Agenda for Change (AFC) + enhancements and Marie Curie employee benefits package

Locations:

  • TQ, EX2, EX4 & EX6, EX31, EX35 areas (1 FTE position)

As community-based roles, responsibilities include planning work, responding to patient condition changes, prioritising care needs (hygiene, nutrition, hydration, comfort, vitals, etc.), and escalating to senior staff as needed.

Qualifications include NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent, 6 months care experience, valid driving license, knowledge of palliative/end-of-life care, and strong communication skills.
