Salary Information: Marie Curie Clinical Pay Scale, aligned with AFC BAND 2 £22,383 pro rata per annum, plus enhancements

Hours/Contract: Permanent Night Shifts - Full time, Part Time, and Bank

Based: Devon - within 25 miles of your home address

As a Healthcare Assistant with Marie Curie, you'll be there for people in their time of greatest need. We provide free specialist care and support to patients with terminal illnesses while offering vital emotional support for their families. What we are looking for:

  • An NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or demonstrable experience in End-of-Life Care
  • A current valid driving licence allowing you to drive in the UK, with a car insured for business use
  • Relevant experience in Palliative Care is desirable
  • Emotional strength and ability to work independently are crucial, with ongoing training and support provided
  • Ability to work nights is essential due to the role's nature
  • Access to a computer and internet is required for mandatory training

With experience in End of Life care, you're ready to make a real difference. Our one-to-one approach to care ensures meaningful contact with patients and their families, usually in their own homes. Duties include assisting with hygiene, monitoring symptoms, medication assistance, and detailed record-keeping. Basic understanding of symptom control is essential.

Our Night services run from 10pm - 7am, providing one-to-one care to support patients and families with palliative diagnoses at home.
