Hourly rate: £16.21ph

How you’ll help us make health happen:

  • Report to a qualified nurse, any changes in a patient’s condition that may require nursing intervention.
  • Refer patients’, relatives’, and colleagues’ queries to the Nursing Staff.
  • Accompany patients (including their friends and relatives) between Departments.
  • Assist patients with eating and drinking when required.
  • Assist in patient hygiene and elimination procedures.
  • Transport Clinical specimens / Prescription charts, as directed, to the relevant departments.
  • Enter requests on the computer as directed.
  • Provide direct basic technical assistance to medical staff as and when required.
  • Assist with observation and collection of specimens.

Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:

  • NVQ Level 2 or Health and Social Care Level 3.
  • Healthcare Assistant experience in a ward setting.
  • Hospital experience required.
  • Competent with Venepuncture/Phlebotomy and ECGs.
  • Caring and compassionate individual.
  • Good communication skills, supportive and approachable.
