About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Healthcare Assistant to join the Primary Care team at HMP Oakwood, a category C prison located in Featherstone, approximately 5 miles outside of Wolverhampton.

Hours: Every other weekend. A mix of weekday shifts.

Salary: This position is full time; you’ll receive an annual salary of £25,557 - £29,723 depending on experience.

What you'll be doing

As a Healthcare Assistant, your responsibilities will vary. You will:

  • Support the registered nurse in implementing an agreed plan of care in association with the patient and in accordance with instructions and training received whilst promoting safe patient care
  • Be willing to develop and apply new skills to maintain and enhance clinical service delivery
