This is an exciting opportunity to work at the esteemed Spire Hull and East Riding Hospital, located in Anlaby, East Yorkshire. The role of a Healthcare Assistant is crucial in providing high-quality patient care and support. As a Temporary Healthcare Assistant, you will be instrumental in assisting with various day-to-day healthcare tasks, ensuring that our patients receive the attention and care they deserve. You will be working alongside a team of professionals dedicated to providing outstanding health services, and your support will be vital in maintaining the well-being of our patients. The position is temporary, commencing on the 3rd of October 2026 and concluding on the same day, allowing you to gain valuable experience in a fast-paced hospital setting. You will be required to work from 08:00 AM to 01:00 PM, offering you a daytime schedule that promotes work-life balance. This shift pattern provides ample opportunity for personal commitments while engaging meaningfully with your healthcare career. Your responsibilities as a Temporary Healthcare Assistant will include but are not limited to:

  • Providing compassionate care and support to patients, ensuring their comfort and dignity at all times.
  • Assisting nursing staff with daily routines including bathing, dressing, and feeding patients as needed.
  • Monitoring patients' conditions, noting any changes and reporting these to the healthcare team promptly.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients, adhering to health and safety guidelines to ensure optimum care standards.
  • Documenting patient information accurately and efficiently in accordance with hospital policies.

    To excel in this role, you will need to possess a strong sense of empathy and a commitment to delivering high-quality care. While previous experience in a similar role is beneficial, what truly matters is your willingness to learn and adapt to the needs of our patients and staff.
