Job description

Cornerstone Healthcare is looking for an experienced and passionate Healthcare Assistant to join our award-winning team at South Africa Lodge. South Africa Lodge is a 99-bed service providing high quality care across 6 specialised units supporting residents with varying complex care, as well as providing a comfortable and safe living environment. Our approach focuses on individualised care, considering the whole person and their unique challenges, rather than just the diagnosis. We are currently rated GOOD with CQC.

What do you need?
  • Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues, residents, and their families
  • A caring and empathetic approach to residents and their visitors
  • Effective communication skills (both written and verbal)
What hours will you work?
  • Total average of 38.5 hours worked per week
What will you be doing?
  • Supporting all aspects of daily living including personal care, mealtimes, and social activities
  • Observing resident progress against planned goals and reporting changes in the residents’ condition or care needs
  • Helping residents to remain as independent as possible
  • Respecting residents' rights to choice, privacy, and dignity at all times
  • Communicating effectively with other staff and members of the team
