Main duties of the job

As a Healthcare Assistant, you will be part of an inclusive and supportive team that works together to provide care and support to patients with a range of mental health conditions. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include ward rounds, analyzing patient behaviors, updating patient records, and providing overall care and support, which may include assisting with personal hygiene. What you will be doing:

You will join an inclusive and supportive team that works well together to provide care to people witha range of Mental Healthconditions, usingyour knowledge and skills to help people along their recover pathway towards leading a valued and fulfilled life.

Your day-to-day will include ward rounds, analysing behaviours and adapting care accordingly with colleagues, updating patient records, and providing overall care and support, which may include assisting with personal hygiene.

It can be quite a challenging environment at times, so a positive attitude, compassion, resilience and vigilance are important. But it is hugely rewarding to see people improve because of your involvement, knowing that you’ve made someone’s life better.

The shift pattern is 12.5 hours a day, 3-4 days a week including nights and weekends.

Arbury Court provides medium and low secure care and Psychiatric Intensive Care (PICU) for women aged 18 years and over with Personality Disorder (PD) and mental illness. Each service within the site has a unique focus, ensuring that the needs of all women can be met. Patients can move through services as their needs change, to focus on the next step in their recovery journey.

The service offers a personalised assessment and recovery-based treatment pathway for women with complex needs. Using the rehabilitation and recovery treatment approach, we ensure that care is focused on the person."
