Job description

As a Healthcare Assistant, you will provide tailored compassionate care primarily in the homes of individuals and supporting them to live independently and with dignity within their communities.

Opportunities available across South West England, including Somerset, North Somerset, Taunton.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality, person-centered care to individuals' homes and within their communities.
  • Support individuals in maintaining or developing new skills and personal interests.
  • Adapt care and support plans to meet the diverse needs of each individual, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Engage in proactive communication with families and care teams to ensure effective care delivery.
  • Support individuals in temporary residential placements or their own homes.
  • Perform household chores such as laundry, cleaning and food shopping.
  • Manage and support individuals with budgeting and financial management.
  • Assist with all aspects of personal care, including hygiene, dressing and feeding.
  • Plan, participate in and budget for community activities.
  • Maintain accurate records and clear communication with the brand team and other healthcare professionals.
Qualifications
  • Preferred NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (Level 2 acceptable).
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in similar healthcare settings and experience in support with complex needs, behaviours that challenge and autism.
  • Business car insurance would be advantageous.
  • Full UK driving license would be preferred.
