Job summary

SaferHandCare is seeking a compassionate Healthcare Assistant to support residents with daily activities in residential or nursing settings across Stoke-on-Trent and surrounding areas. You’ll assist with personal care, meals, mobility and provide companionship, while following care plans and ensuring dignity.

Full training is provided and enhanced DBS is preferred. You’ll work flexible shifts across early, late, day and night patterns, with uniform supplied and ongoing mandatory training to

• Enhanced DBS clearance or willingness to obtain.
• Full UK right to work is essential.

Responsibilities

• Assisting residents with personal care, including bathing, dressing and grooming.
• Supporting residents with mobility and transfer, using appropriate equipment.
• Providing companionship and emotional support to residents.
• Assisting with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring dietary needs are met.
• Following and updating care plans.
• Promoting independence and dignity.

As a Healthcare Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with their daily activities, ensuring comfort and wellbeing. You will work in a team supporting both staff and residents in residential or nursing home settings, as well as some supported living services.

We have a variety of shifts for Healthcare Assistants including long days, earlies, lates and nights available in:

Stoke-on-Trent, Stafford, Uttoxeter, Leek, Stone, Crewe, Audlem, Rugeley, Newcastle-under-Lyme, Telford and Shrewsbury.

Your Main Duties Will Involve

• Assisting residents with personal care, including bathing, dressing and grooming.


• Supporting residents with mobility and transfer, using the appropriate equipment where required.


• Providing companionship and emotional support to all residents.


• Assisting with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring dietary needs are met.


• Always promoting independence and dignity.


• Following and updating care plans.

Previous Experience Working As a Health Care Assistant Or Support Worker Would Be Beneficial, However, Full Training Can Be Provided For Those Who Demonstrate a Compassionate, Caring Nature And Desire To Provide Quality Care To Improve The Lives Of Others. You Should Also Have

• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)


• Full Right to Work in the United Kingdom is essential


• A full UK Driver’s Licence is desirable


• NVQ Level 2/3 in Health and Social Care is desirable


• Willingness to attend training and induction at our office in Newcastle-under-Lyme
