Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity for a Healthcare Assistant to join our Primary Care team at HMP Isle of Wight, a category B prison located in Isle of Wight. HMP Isle of Wight is an adult male prison. We are recruiting for Healthcare Assistants to support the primary care team.

Hours

You must be able to work any of the following shift patterns on a rota basis. The role will include weekends, nights and bank holidays:

  • 07:30 – 20:00
  • 19:30 – 08:00
  • 07:30 – 17:30
  • 08:00 – 17:30
Salary

This position is full time; you’ll receive an annual salary up to £30,684 per annum FTE, depending on experience.

Main duties of the job
  • Support the registered nurse in implementing an agreed plan of care in association with the patient and in accordance with instructions and training received whilst promoting safe patient care
  • Be willing to develop and apply new skills to maintain and enhance clinical service delivery
