Salary: £25,185 - £25,989 per annum

Job Overview

We are seeking a Healthcare Assistant to join Prospect House Primary Specialist School. This is a Grade 3, permanent position working 35 hours per week during term time plus 5 Inset days. The starting salary is £21,662, with a full-time equivalent of £25,185. The role is to commence as soon as pre-employment checks are completed.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide 1:1 care for pupils with complex medical needs under the guidance of healthcare professionals and school staff.
  2. Support teaching staff in delivering the curriculum and learning activities, in direct contact with pupils.
  3. Administer medication orally, via inhalation, gastrostomy, and manage supplies.
  4. Monitor and record medical information, perform basic checks like blood sugar and temperature.
  5. Assist with dietary needs, mobility, and personal care.
  6. Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with pupils, families, and professionals.
  7. Attend staff meetings, participate in school events, residential trips, sports, and extracurricular activities.
Qualifications and Experience
