As a Healthcare Assistant, you will join an inclusive and supportive team that works together to provide care to people with a range of Mental Health conditions. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include talking and interacting with service users, supporting, encouraging, and motivating them with all aspects of their recovery and treatment goals, such as daily living tasks and community involvement. You will also carry out duties allocated by the multidisciplinary team, update patient records, respond to incidents, support mealtimes, and ensure a clean and safe environment.

What you will be doing:
You will join an inclusive and supportive team that works well together to provide care to people with a range of Mental Health conditions, using your knowledge and skills to help people along their recovery pathway towards leading a valued and fulfilled life.
Your day to day will include talking and interacting with service users, supporting, encouraging, and motivating them with all aspects of their recovery and treatment goals, such as daily living tasks, community involvement etc., carrying out duties allocated by the MDT, updating patient records, responding to incidents, supporting mealtimes, and ensuring a clean and safe environment.

The shift pattern is 12.5 hours a day, 3-4 days a week including nights and weekends, totaling 37.5 hours per week.

You will be working at Ballington House, a 13-bed Mental Health rehabilitation hospital that provides services for women with complex Mental Health needs.
The environment offers a pathway from admission to discharge, incorporating three phases: assessment (accepting help), rehabilitation (believing, trying, and learning), and community phase-out (self-reliance). Patients generally begin on the ground floor and move through each phase as they progress.
You will work alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team including a consultant psychiatrist, clinical psychologist, occupational therapists, nurses, and support workers.
