Job description

We are looking for anexperiencedHealth Care Assistantto work withina Community Rehabilitation Centre and Residential Care Home providing personal care and support topeople over the age of 65. This serviceplays a crucial role in supporting individuals who are receiving reablement services to regain their independence and confidence in their daily activities.

SPECIALISM:Rehabilitation, Elderly

SHIFT PATTERNS: LONG DAYS 07.30-20.00- shifts available7 days a week (Days can be split into earlies 07.30-14.00 or lates 14.00-20.00).

PAY RATES:£13.69p/h - £18.18p/h PAYE Inclusive of Holiday Pay

The chosen candidate will have the opportunity to manage their own shift patterns, with plenty of days to choose from, promoting a healthy work-lifebalance.

The Role:

  • Assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, toileting, and grooming, while promoting dignity and independence.
  • Helping clients with mobility aids, transfers, and exercises to improve strength and coordination, aiming for increased independence in movement.
  • Providing companionship, active listening, and emotional reassurance to service usersundergoing the reablement process, fostering a supportive and empathetic environment.
The Person:

  • Caring and compassionate personality, with a passion to help others in a safe manner.
  • Initiative to work alone but also a team player.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • 12-24 month's UK experienceworking as aHealthcareAssistant or Support Worker in a Health & Social Care role
  • Relevant qualification,Level 3NVQin Health & Social Care or Care Certificate.
