A dynamic healthcare practice in High Wycombe is seeking a motivated Healthcare Assistant to join their team. Chiltern House Medical Centre, a dynamic and growing practice in High Wycombe, has an exciting opportunity for a motivated, enthusiastic, and experienced Healthcare Assistant to join our team.
The successful candidate will uphold our values of delivering excellent patient care and contribute to our vision of meeting the health needs of our diverse community. Previous experience working as a Healthcare Assistant in an NHS GP practice would be advantageous.
The successful candidate will work as part of an excellent administrative and multidisciplinary clinical team, including GPs, Nurse Practitioners, Nurses, and Clinical Pharmacists.
We aim to develop positive, supportive, and professional relationships with every patient, clinician, and allied professional we interact with.
We use the Emis Web clinical system.
Working hours: Minimum 37.5 hours per week
Support clinical staff with patient care, including taking observations (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, weight) and recording medical information.
Assist with basic clinical procedures, dressings, and wound care under supervision.
Prepare patients for consultations and examinations.
Perform phlebotomy and other routine clinical tasks, where trained and competent.
Maintain accurate patient records using clinical systems (e.g., EMIS Web).
Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients and staff.
Support health promotion initiatives and provide basic advice on lifestyle and wellbeing.
