Job summary

Nouveau Care, a leading care staffing agency, is seeking a Healthcare Assistant (Part Time) to join our team in Harleston. You will work as part of a dynamic care team, delivering temporary staffing support to care homes, and promoting dignity, independence and well-being for vulnerable adults.

Flexible shifts (days, nights and weekends) and competitive hourly rates with weekly pay are available, along with ongoing training and a range of placements across care homes and nursing settings.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a care home, nursing home, or similar setting is desirable.
• Minimum of 6-12 months care experience.
• NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) is an advantage.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexibly in a team-oriented environment.
• Compassionate, reliable, and committed to delivering exceptional care.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily personal care tasks, including washing, dressing, and toileting.
• Support mobility needs, using equipment safely as required.
• Assist with meal preparation and feeding where necessary.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Monitor and report on residents’ health and well-being to nursing staff.
• Maintain accurate care records and follow care plans.
• Work collaboratively with nursing teams, residents, and families to deliver high standards of care.
