Job summary

Manton Heights Care Centre, part of RCH Care Homes, is seeking Health Care Assistants to join a friendly team providing compassionate residential and dementia care for older people.

You will assist residents with personal care, support activities, and contribute to care plans; full induction, ongoing training, and career progression are offered with permanent and part-time roles.

Qualifications

• A kind, caring and compassionate nature.
• A good listener with patience.
• Ability to communicate well, both written and verbally.
• Flexibility due to shift work.
• Candidates MUST have proof of right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Assisting residents with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene, dressing and feeding.
• Providing physical and mental stimulation by taking part in recreational and social activities or events with residents, both individually and as a group.
• Taking responsibility for the physical and emotional well-being and social needs of the residents.
• Being aware and participating in the development of resident Care plans and having full awareness of any specialist support needs.
• Assisting residents with mobility and support.

Although we don't require someone with any direct qualifications as we provide ongoing training and support, the following attributes would be preferable:

Preferred attributes

• NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care (desirable but not required)
• Ability to organise efficiently and prioritise workloads whilst under pressure
• A minimum of 3 months' experience in a care environment (preferable)

Both permanent and part time positions are available.
