This is a Healthcare Assistant role in Elysium Healthcare's Badby Park facility, which provides specialist inpatient neurological rehabilitation and complex care services. The role involves providing compassionate and person-centered care to individuals with neurological conditions, supporting their recovery and helping them lead a valued and fulfilled life.

Main duties of the job

As a Healthcare Assistant, you will be part of an inclusive and supportive team that works together to provide high-quality care to people with neurological conditions. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include ward rounds, analyzing behaviors and adapting care accordingly, updating patient records, and providing overall care and support, which may include assisting with personal hygiene. The role requires a positive attitude, compassion, resilience, and vigilance, as it can be a challenging environment at times. However, it is highly rewarding to see the individuals in your care improve and know that you have made a positive difference in their lives.

What you will be doing

You will join an inclusive and supportive team that works well together to provide care to people with Neurologicalconditions, usingyour knowledge and skills to help people along their recover pathway towards leading a valued and fulfilled life.

Your day-to-day will include ward rounds, analysing behaviours and adapting care accordingly with colleagues, updating patient records, and providing overall care and support, which may include assisting with personal hygiene.

It can be quite a challenging environment at times, so a positive attitude, compassion, resilience and vigilance are important. But it is hugely rewarding to see people improve because of your involvement, knowing that you’ve made someone’s life better.

The shift pattern is 12.5 hours a day, 3-4 days a week including days, nights and weekends. 37.5 hours per week.

Where you will be working

Location:Badby Road West, Daventry, Northamptonshire, NN11 4NH

You will be working at Badby Park, a specialist inpatient neurological rehabilitation and complex care service for people with neurological illnesses, acquired brain and spinal cord injuries.

You will work alongside side the multidisciplinary and clinical teams to deliver truly person-centred services where each individual is at the heart of everything. The service has extensive facilities to cater for specific needs for people over 18 years old, who have complex neurological care and rehabilitation requirements.
